This game features some truly epic fights which constantly change and look simply amazing, plus of course it’s packed with content for Naruto fans. Battle for the title of ultimate ninja! Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is one of those game where the title tells you everything. You can expect characters from the popular anime Naruto Shippuden, everything is pretty Ultimate, there’s no shortage of Ninjas and it’s all a massive Storm of action! Being the fourth in its series, players may already be familiar with the setup of this game, but note that this version actually removes some features seen in previous games and brings back features from older titles in the series. One great example is wall running, taken from the original, which allows players to switch from fighting in the arena to fighting along the walls. This sudden shift is typical of the chaotic, high energy style of combat in this game. Expect everything to be fast and furious! Meanwhile, the game’s story follows on from the third game and the events of the ninja war… a storyline that non-Naruto-fans will struggle to understand. Chaotic, not very accessible, but tons of fun This game may just seem like a blur of lights, colour and shouting to those who don’t follow the anime series. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is such a chaotic game, that it can be a turn off if you want to focus on realistic combat. If you prefer frantic fun, constant changing of dynamics and wild characters, then this is for you. This new instalment even lets you switch between characters during a battle, for some really crazy combos. Clearly, this is game for experienced players. In terms of graphics, this title is very impressive, with some fantastically drawn creatures and bright, shining textures. Again, you may not appreciate the appearance if you aren’t a fan of the series, as it uses the same bold, cartoonish art. Audio is as frantic as the game itself, with voiceovers from Naruto and friends which will please fans. The subplots are engaging and really help to build something on top of a strong fighting game. Not like other fighting games Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is not your typical fighting game, which is a plus or negative depending on how you like your games. For something new and dynamic, which will provide a challenge and show you a new side of the fighting genre, try this out. Fans of the series should also be happy with the improvements made here, with less popular features being removed. Multiplayer is especially intense and rewarding.
