LibreOffice Fresh is a beta version of the office suite. Like all betas, features found in LibreOffice Fresh may not get added into the stable release. 6 apps for every need LibreOffice Fresh includes the apps Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Base, and Math. Writer is the word processor supporting formats like DOC, DOCX, RTF, ODT, and others. Calc is similar to Excel so you can create spreadsheets and Impress is LibreOffice's version of PowerPoint. Base is a comparable version to Access, Math is a formula tool, and Draw lets you design with vectors. You also have the ability to add plug-ins to each app. Essentials The first menu of LibreOffice gives you the option to choose which app you want to use. The overall design has been improved, but it looks similar to older versions of Microsoft Office. Free office suite LibreOffice is a good free alternative to Microsoft Office. The only possible issue with LibreOffice Fresh is that it's a beta version of the program and can have stability issues.
