Map Gold

Map Gold is a map making software product designed specifically for creating custom street maps. It has all the tools and features needed to make professional, publish-quality street maps of the standard you can buy in shops.

Also use it to make Rural, tourist, travel, farm, property and hiking maps and guides.

Map Gold can be used to make single-PaGE maps and also booklet style, multi-page maps with bindings and tabs. As well as printing your map, create bitmap files for use in pamphlets, location guides, web pages or any other sort of document.

Maps are drawn by using aerial images (i.e. photos taken from aeroplanes) of the area to be mapped. These images are your guide, remaining in the background as the map is drawn. Layers are used for different types of graphical elements (land, streets, buildings, suburb names, etc) making it easier to manage these graphical elements during the map making process.

Powerful map look modification capability
A significant feature of Map Gold is the ability to easily change the overall look of a map. This is achieved using a sophisticated system of definitions for numbers, colours, fonts, and lines that collectively define the look of a map. This powerful feature allows map makers to "fine tune" a map`s style for the best aesthetic result or change it to something completely different.

Team map making
Map Gold supports team map making, allowing multiple map makers to work on the same project file concurrently, with each adding their work to the file, and each able to view what the others have added. This is a powerful feature that most other map making products don`t provide.

Project management
Project management is simple: all information about one map is stored in a single file (except the aerial images and other bitmap images used for map icons and pictures) making it easy to manage your map projects.
