Desktop Layout Keeper helps you secure your public access computer, save, restore, lock and manage your desktop layouts, including files and Folders, wallpaper and screen saver. With personal computers becoming a part of our LiVES and everyone in Household using them, it`s harder to keep the desktop arranged to fit your needs and taste. You might want to organize desktop layouts differently for different purposes such as working, surfing the Internet, gaming as well as provide other users with their own desktops. Moreover in case the computer is located in a shared environment like public library, university or internet cafe, people tend to rearrange the icons or change the wallpaper and screen saver. Often icons get accidentally deleted and it is no longer possible to restore them. To avoid these problems altogether and to make your work more pleasant, we created this software to help you tidy up your personal desktop space. It will allow you to make your work FASTER and easier, with a few simple steps will rid you of the hassles related to your desktop. Simply place your icons wherever you want them on your desktop, select desired wallpaper and screen saver, double click program`s tray icon and click the Save button to Create a new desktop layout file. If your icons ever get moved or deleted by any user or entering the safe mode or changing the screen resolution, just open the program and click the Load button to return your desktop to any previously saved state, or simply reboot your PC if you are in the Lock Desktop mode. Desktop Layout Keeper can run in automatic mode, so that desktop is restored automatically. The program saves and restores not only the position of each icon on the desktop, but also the shortcuts themselves. You can assign different privileges to different users and protect the program with a password, so that only you could login and change, save, restore or delete any layouts.
